1. Concord Museum

CONCORD.   Learn about the long, rich history of Concord at this facility located on the Lexington Road. From 17th century farm tools and smithy equipment to 19th century furniture, the museum's caretakers have gone to great lengths to preserve as many area artifacts as they can. Highlights of the museum's collection include books and personal effects from Ralph Waldo Emerson's personal study, the lantern hung from Old North Church the night of Paul Revere's legendary ride, and an impressive collection of items belonging to Henry David Thoreau.   (© 10Best)
