CONCORD. Concord's North Bridge gate offers the closest access from Marlborough to this expansive 900-acre national park, which was created in 1959. Among the highlights visitors will find here are Daniel Chester French's famous statue commemorating Massachusetts' heroic Minutemen, preserved segments of the legendary Battle Road, writer Nathaniel Hawthorne's Wayside Home, and various sites related to the opening salvos of the Revolutionary War on April 19, 1775.
