9. The Steakloft

NORTHBOROUGH.   This old steakhouse comes complete with a worn-down wagon parked out front and an interior that is seems more Tombstone than New England. Indeed, the rough and weathered walls are hung with all types of Old West oddities. As for the fare, the prime rib, which the staff bills as the "best in town," is a particular favorite among regulars; however, other dishes like scallops Rockefeller, baked haddock stuffed with Ritz crackers, and chicken Normandy glazed with Apple Jack Liqueur and cream ensure that any number of appetites can be sated.
