KULA. In 1968, the McCord family founded this popular and beautiful attraction. Now, the Kula Botanical Gardens in Maui cover eight acres and are among the loveliest areas on the island. Featuring both native Hawaiian plants and those of foreign origin, as well as rock formations, waterfalls and special exhibits, this Maui attraction is a great place for visitors to explore.
