WAILUKU.   This Maui historic site has served a number of purposes since its erection in 1833. Occupied by a women's seminary in the mid-19th century and then by the Bailey family, this building is now home to the Maui Historical Society. A look around reveals 19th-century Hawaiian artifacts, period furnishings and paintings, and a garden full of beautiful native plants. A mission to preserve, study and interpret Hawaiian history makes the Maui Historical Society a fascinating stop for all history buffs.   (© 10Best)
