4. Lahaina Courthouse

LAHAINA.   Made from the materials of King Kamehameha III's former palace, the Lahaina Courthouse is a major part of Maui sightseeing. Featuring a custom house, post office, collector's office, money vault, police court, courtroom, and several staff offices, Lahaina Courthouse was innovative and important during its time. Since the end of its official operation in the late 20th century, this attraction has brought private foundations and government offices together to help raise money to preserve Hawaiian heritage.   (© 10Best)
