2. Cheeseburger in Paradise

Great sunset view but that's about it...
Stopped into CIP for a sunset meal with my wife, mother and our small children - 20 months and 3 months old. The view is great but the burgers are very average at best. Maui onion rings were tasty but the burgers lacked that WOW factor. I'll likely never go back when in Maui.

The most expensive, and terrible cheeseburger! Sent back the raw (supposed to be medium) Kobe cheeseburger $15.00. Tried one of my daughters "mini cheeseburgers while waiting for a cooked burger,which were cold, and dry Total rip-off!

NOT THAT GOOD.
The place is extremely busy and crowded. Not worth any wait. They sit you RIGHT next to the other tables (like cattle.) Usually loud and full of noisy kids. The burger is decent (at best) and sloppy. First time visitors to Maui might find this place quaint but that doesn't make the food better. The best burger on the island is across the street at Cool Cat Cafe. CCC has one of the best burgers anywhere.

We were just there on 3/31. We found the burgers and fries to be fantastic. The atmosphere , right on the ocean, added to the fun experience. We liked it so much we made sure to stop again before heading home.

We ate here five years ago and again last month. Five years ago, I would have given the place 3 stars (out of 5 stars). We decided to try it again to see if it have improved any. Afraid not. It barely deserves our 1 star rating this time. We won't be back.

We made it a point to vist CIP and boy were we disappointed. They point out that they are five napkin burgers and I see why. The patty must of been soaking in fat and grease the previous day.,It was gross to say the least. Given a choice I'll go to McDonalds next time. Will not be back!

This place is so overrated it's not even funny. The burgers were mediocre at best, but you can get the same quality from any diner that serves burgers. And somehow, they managed to make fries taste poor. How do you do that?! To add insult to injury, they charge for these fries. Skip this place. Most people aren't in Maui to get a cheeseburger, unless you're the type who sport Tommy Bahama aloha shirts. Get some real food instead.

Have you changed your grade of beef? I have eaten at your Lahaina location several times but today I have no idea what type of meat I was served. Tased worse than a May's hamburger. I'm not sure I'll be back.

Dont get sucked in by the name. There are MUCH better places to eat in lahaina town. The burgers are over priced, and not all that great. If you deal feel like a burger still, go to another local place.

It took me 10 years to get back to it but I made it!!!!! When I heard I was going to Maui the 1st thing I said was gotta go to C.I.P. It was just as we remembered and I can't wait to go again. The one in Waikiki can't even begin to compete with Maui. I won't wait 10 years this time. Thank you for all the ho'okipa and the wonderful memories.

When you have to have one, you have to have one! Cheeseburgers that is---very crowded but worth the wait and the view is incredible---this place was a nightclub (several) for years and the view is still the same---good luck trying to finish one of these bubba sized burgers and a side of fries!!

Have been there several times... each time better than the next. The food & entertainment is a plus! When in paradise - make sure you have a cheeseburger or veggie burger. They are the best casual burger around - it will be crowded but well worth the wait.
