3. Bubba Gump Shrimp Company

Not My 1st Choice
We dined at Bubba's mid afternoon and enjoyed the waterfront location and for the most part, the food. We had the seafood sampler, the seafood taco, garlic boiled shrimp and salads. The food was good and there was enough to satisfy most appetites. Our waitress was far too "personal" which included sitting at out table after lunch with a Forrest Gump quiz (when will they learn that this type of activity crosses the line). She was just tolerable throughout our meal and managed to charge us $4 for a Gump plastic glass (which accompanies the lemonade and which we didn't request). She also forgot to order one of our meals. So food good, service not so good. I'd highly recommend that you spend your vacation dollars at LuLu's or the Cafe Ol'Lei in Kihei. Both exceeded by far the food, service and ambiance of Bubba Gump.

The peel and eat shrimp were good. Our meals were overloaded with buttery sauces and the dessert was way too big and tasted very bland. We wouldn't recommend for a nice meal.

One of the better B.Gumps locations--large portions at reasonable prices---good sized bar w/ fine beer selection and very friendly waitstaff---we keep coming back.
