LAHAINA. Set on the beach, this busy restaurant boasts ocean views and a festive environment. Designed in the style of a 1930s-era house, it's accented with hula figurines, koa-wood canoes, and other mementoes. Its location, unsurprisingly, makes seafood a major draw. Fresh fish prepared a number of different ways is the specialty; look for the firecracker mahi mahi and the baked snapper dressed with black beans and avocado. Crab cakes and barbecued ribs are equally tantalizing. At their "Barefoot Bar," try to claim front-row seats at the nightly hula shows. (© 10Best) The bar remains low-key despite its status as one of the best eating and drinking combos in Waikiki. Celeb chef Peter Merriman puts together an awesome pupu menu. Don't scrimp on the Hawaiian ceviche.
