5. Tommy Bahama's Tropical Café & Emporium

KIHEI.   This laid-back destination has, as you would expect, a definite tropical theme. The Caribbean decor is bright, marked by all sorts of tropical plants and artwork. Tommy Bahama's serves a hybrid of rather spicy American and Jamaican cuisine, including jerk chicken and hot spiced pork tenderloin. You'll also be thrilled by pan-seared ahi tuna, char-grilled baby back ribs, grilled scallops, and fantastic crab cakes. Many patrons fall in love with the place and end up spending a good part of their day sipping Tommy's signature Bungalow Brew. Best ribs I have had. Nice and spicy. Busy but good service. Good location near other spots to eat and shops.
