We are home to Treehouse Island and Spirit Island making up one of the largest indoor waterparks in the nation. New this year, be one of the first to ride the worlds only enclosed Howlin Tornado- a 6-story funnel of extreme tubin fun. You and your family will climb aboard a 4-person raft for the ride of a lifetime. The Howlin Tornado will slide you down six stories into the mouth of the Tornado swirling you back and forth before you splash in for a safe landing. You must be at least 48 inches to ride the Howlin Tornado and there is a four person weight maximum of 700 lbs. The Howlin Tornado is located in Treehouse Island. Treehouse Island also features Fort Mackenzie- a 4-story/ 12 level Treehouse with over 60 water activities topped with a huge tipping bucket that fills with 1000 gallons of water and dumps every few minutes. Once on top you can escape down one of our 200-foot body slides or continue to explore the Treehouse using its cargo netting and suspension bridge. Another highlight of Treehouse Island is our 4-story/ 200-foot tube slide that actually exits the building and then re-enters with a splash. Spirit Island includes Lookout Mountain- a 4-story/ 200-foot tube slide that plunges you into our Lazy River. It also includes 2 adult speed slides/ 4 kiddie slides/ an activity pool with water basketball/ and 2 large hot tubs. New in 2004 Thunder Bay Outdoor Waterpark doubled its size with a new Mini-Treehouse with tipping bucket/ and Half Moon Lake/ complete with rapids/ waterfalls/ shooting geysers/ basketball hoops/ and a zero-depth activity area. We have also added a 25-foot tall Aqua Rock Climbing Wall providing a safe climbing experience for guests of all ages -nominal fee. All of this in addition to our two famous 440-foot inner tube slides that tower over our 6000 square foot activity pool that ranges from 0 to 4 feet deep and is complete with water basketball and kiddie activities. If you are looking to dry off try Wileys Woods- our 4-story/ 20000 sq. ft. tube sliding/ foam ball blasting/ tunnel crawling/ net climbing/ interactive family quest game. Activities are designed to challenge guests of all ages. Youkon Jacks Gaming Parlor is a great place for children of all ages to experience over 60 different video arcade games. They will also love our Cub Club room- an indoor area for kids ages 12 and under offering daily activities. Escape to Cameo- our Aveda Concept Spa and Salon offering massages/ nail treatments/ hair care/ and skin care in a beautiful tranquil atmosphere. Work out in the Iron Horse Fitness Center with state of the art cardiovascular and weight lifting machines. Enjoy a sandwich or steak at the Loose Moose Bar and Grill. Indulge in homemade fudge/ fresh baked pastries/ and Starbucks coffee at the Bear Claw Cafe. Always a favorite is the Wolfs Den Snack Bar serving beer and spirits and snack items inside the waterpark.
