1. Boquerón Beach

SOUTHWEST COAST.   Arguably the best beach in all of Puerto Rico is located just south of Mayaguez. This palm-lined wide white strip of firm sand leads up to a tranquil, coral filled bay. The diving and snorkeling are excellent here and local shops rent all of the equipment you will need. A small market sells snacks suitable for lunch and there are picnic tables to eat on. A basketball court provides an opportunity to dry off after a few hours of swimming.   (© 10Best)
