3. Town of Rincon

RINCON.   In 1968 the World Surfing Championships were held in Rincon and the town has never been the same. The surfing capital of the Caribbean boasts six beaches, each offering slightly different waves and rides. The hotels and restaurants in town cater to the laid-back, beach-going crowd. From December to February, humpback whales winter off the coast of Rincon and charters are available to view these magnificent creatures.   (© 10Best)
