8. Ricomini Bakery

Uniquely Puerto Rican
I grew up a few blocks from the original Ricomini. Pastries after mass at the 'catedral' or a movie at the 'Riera' was a tradition. Just returned from a visit to the island, with a stay in Ponce Every day started with breakfast at the Ricomini outside Hormiqueros -- a 30 min. drive. The coffee, the sandwiches, the pastry, the people ... only in Puerto Rico.

I visited in Dec.2006. This place is the sh.... Everything is fresh and D. E. licous. You cant say that you have been to Puerto Rico untill you've been here. I would give it 20 stars if i could. LOVE IT!!!!

I was visiting Rincon and I went to your bakery and its awesome. The Puerto Ricans here would love to have something like this in our town. We do have lots of Latinos here.

Ricomini Bakery is an historical point in Mayaguez Puerto Rico and it is a shame that the owner of this bakery does not really care for the historical values that the bakery carries. I recognize that profit making is the main objective of a business but I believe that a place like Ricomini needs to work a little bit more with public relations and management should restructure it's organizational methods.
