8. Jimmy Watson's

For pub dining at its best, head to Jimmy Watson's, a long-standing Melbourne tradition since 1935. The interior space is casual with vintage photographs and wines adorning walls and shelves. The cuisine is an eclectic mix of Continental favorites. Starters include spring bay scallops, gin and juniper cured ocean trout and rabbit and mushroom cannelloni, while the main entrees offer up goodies such as roast baby chicken, rack of lamb, and barbecue sirloin steak. Although the bar serves a variety of cognac, beer and mixed drinks, it is primarily known for its outstanding and varied wine collection. If possible, try to snag an open table outside.   (© 10Best)
