9. Elvis Week

The Buzz -- Elvis may have left the building, but he certainly hasn't left the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. Elvis Week brings many of these fans together for nine days of remembrance and celebration. Events include a memorabilia show, dance party, Elvis concert (aided by video recordings, of course), and art exhibit. A touching candlelight vigil, one of the week's most anticipated events, invites guests to carry a candle from the gates of Graceland to Elvis's gravesite. The vigil continues through the evening until all who wish to participate have done so. NB Events in Memphis take place all over town, from Graceland to the convention center downtown.
