I recently on July 11, 2009 gave a family reunion at the Marriott Hotel East, In Memphis TN. I was very pleased with the initial service in planning the reunion. On the night of the Banquet dinner, My family was served raw chicken with the blood running out of the chicken. several of my family members had this meat in their mouth with blood running from the chicken. The staff on duty were pleasant, but some were unpleasant. It took a while for the person in charge to respond, but when she did she tried to find a solution. The event was ruined and most unpleasant for everyone. Everyone was upset and didn't want to eat the food after this incident.
Later, the people in charge didn't apologized or make any compensation. She gave excuses and said it was an accident. She failed to respond to the situation until I called her. It was a most unpleaant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and have several family members living in Memphis that would not either. I plan to write the cooperate office with a complaint.
