DOWNTOWN.   A stroll down historic Beale Street is a must for visitors to Memphis. The one-time headquarters of W.C. Handy, "Father of the Blues," Beale Street is still home to a plethora of budding street performers, wild dance clubs and relaxed listening rooms. Who says you can't get a free ride in Memphis? On the last Friday of each month, you can hop on a special streetcar downtown for a tour through the South Main Historic Arts District. The South Main Trolley Art Tour is free. (from Southern Living)
