COCONUT GROVE.   Conceived by the Junior League of Miami in 1949, the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium was founded as the Junior Museum of Miami in 1950. My son is 13 and hard to entertain. We had a great 1/2 day here. The exhibits were well maintained. It was convenient to other sites. Parking was not a problem. And the staff were great about answering our questions. The 'petting zoo' was a bit crowded by school groups, but we could still get a clear view of everything.
