CORAL GABLES. During its early years, the Biltmore made a name for itself hosting such notables as Ginger Rogers, Bing Crosby, Al Capone, and the Roosevelts. During WWII, it served as a military hospital and continued in that capacity until 1968. Not until 1987 did a thorough renovation restore it to luxury hotel status. Today, this National Historic Landmark hotel offers only the best in accommodations and services, and it still attracts an array of celebrities and dignitaries from around the world. On-site facilities include a golf course, fitness center, full spa, tennis courts, and the largest hotel swimming pool in the Continental United States. 276 room, including 133 suites. MIAMI LAKES. Even if you're in Miami on business, this resort is a good bet – there's a 24-hour business center and high-speed Internet access in every room. An athlete's dream, the resort encompasses 500 acres, with golf courses, tennis courts, racquetball, basketball, badminton, a massive health club with all the latest equipment, and even a tennis racket-shaped pool. Rooms and suites are comfortably furnished, with all the necessary amenities, and within its sprawling layout, the resort features a main street neighborhood with restaurants, a movie theater, and shops. 205 rooms and suites in the hotel, plus 84 additional rooms at the golf club. The non-athlete will enjoy shopping, relaxing at the full service spa, lounging around one of the pools, or dining in one of five restaurants. FISHER ISLAND. This secluded 205-acre private island, the former winter estate of the Vanderbilts, is accessible only by air or water, so helicopters, seaplanes, and yachts are common sights. Once on the island you may never want to leave, and you wouldn't have to. There are seven restaurants and bars, tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, a full service spa and health club, plus an array of shops and services. Accommodations are available in a variety of configurations from rooms to suites to private cottages and villas. All are thoughtfully furnished, and all guests receive complimentary golf cart use for the length of their stay. 65 cottages, suites and villas. Event space for 200.

MIAMI BEACH. This landmark resort is located on 20 acres of tropical landscape bordering the Atlantic Ocean. comfortably appointed suites. There is truly something for everyone, with upscale amenities such as two outdoor pools, lovely rock grotto lagoon with cascading waterfall, full service spa, lighted tennis courts, and multiple restaurants and lounges. COCONUT GROVE. The lobby of this resort offers fabulous views of Biscayne Bay as well as of the pool and lounge. The colonial-style facility is located on a private island, so you know you are in for a peaceful retreat. The 85-slip marina and plenty of other water sports keep guests entertained, along with a whirlpool, 12 lighted tennis courts, fitness center, and a jogging path. The 49 rooms are the picture of comfortable elegance, with blond mahogany furnishings, spacious Italian marble baths and private terraces that make the most of the ocean view. Meeting space to accommodate 600. Parking $24/day. Resort fee is 10% of the room rate.
