5. Les Halles

I have gone twice to this restaurant. The first time I did not like it at all but I wanted to give it a second chance and I went again. The second time I was amazed to see that it is still open. The food is horrendous. I had Choucroute garnie (smoked pork loin, white veal sausage, frankfurter, smoked pork breast, boiled potatoes, and sauerkraut) I have no words to describe how bad this was. AI hotdog from a fair would be better. I only ate the hotdog and left the rest of the dish. The pork loin and pork breast were full of white fat. My husband had a chicken without flavor. The worst bistro in Paris is a 5 star restaurant compared to Les Hales.

Les Halles is a wonderful little French restaurant in The Gables. The dim atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening out and the food is incredible. My husband and I have been there several times and have never felt rushed. The french fries (frites) are the best we've ever had. Highly recommended!
