SOUTH BEACH.   This cafe-society outpost has the same ownership as the ever-popular News Cafe, but this one is less touristy, with a loyal local clientele. Casual crowds, groups of business people, families and lone newspaper readers are common sights. At breakfast, the menu features traditional eggs Benedict, heart-healthy egg white omelets served with fruit salad, and zesty eggs Florentine. Later in the day, the cookie platter, which features six hockey puck-sized varieties, is a fan favorite. In the evening, the upstairs jazz club is a swinging place to mingle.   (© 10Best)
