3. Mitchell Leather Factory Outlet Store

My husband and I visited Milwaukee in June 2000 for the HOG Rally and had a chance to go to the Mitchell store. Jerry Mitchell welcomed us into his store and treated us like guests, not customers. We were there late in the day and instead of closing the store and rushing us out so he could close, he locked the door and took us upstairs to the factory and showed us around. We saw piles of leather, sewing machines, and everything in between. He spent over an hour with us and recommended a local restaurant that, as tourists, we would not have found otherwise. We ordered a computer briefcase that was custom made for us and delivered at home a few weeks later. Mr. Mitchell called us when the briefcase shipped to let us know that it was on the way. He also wrote a personal note asking us to call him when it arrived. The briefcase is still in near perfect condition after six years of use. The handles and straps show no signs of coming off any time soon. Mr MItchell made our trip to the Outlet worth the trip off the beaten path. He made an impression on us that will last a lifetime.

Not only can you choose the stlye of bag you want, but you can actually choose the leather that it will be made from. These products are the finest I have ever seen anywhere. Not mass produced Chinese made junk.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE STORE, BUT I HAD TO LEAVE MY OPINION. MY MITCHELL PURSE HAS BEEN THE BEST PURSE I HAVE EVER HAD. I HAVE OWNED IT NEARLY 13 YEARS, AND I HAVE USED IT EVERY SINGLE DAY. IT STILL LOOKS BRAND NEW. NO RIPS, NO DISCOLORED LEATHER, NO BROKEN ZIPPERS. HE DOES FABULOUS WORK!
