UNIVERSITY. The Bell Museum is a great place for family fun in Minneapolis. Kid’s activities here are spread through a simulated rainforest environment to the "Touch and See Room," where museum visitors can get up close and personal with a 10,000 year-old wooly mammoth tusk, Kodiak bear, and live turtles and snakes. Other Minneapolis family activities at the University of Minnesota natural history museum include a guided tour of diorama halls, art showcases, and live animal habitats. Be sure to stop by the gift shop for unique children’s books on Minnesota biology.
