DINKYTOWN.   Visitors to this unassuming restaurant in Dinkytown are in for a surprise. Tall ceilings with open beams, concrete floors, exposed brick walls, and an open kitchen make for a chic, elegant dining space. Local and sustainable foods inspire one of the best Minneapolis restaurant menus. Items change every few weeks, but be prepared for fresh, seasonal items like the “Black Bean Fritters,” Pan Seared Halibut, and Glazed Beef Shortribs. Trust the chefs too; the tasting menu is the best way to sample the lot.   (© 10Best)

After reading about Restaurant Alma in two of KJ Erickson's mystery books I was eager to go there on my next trip to Minneapolis - The last weekend of March a friend and I made a trip to the cities and shared the most wonderful food experience. While each of the courses was exquisite on its own, my favorite was Parmesan Flan - the combination of textures and flavors was amazing! Our server was great – her knowledgeable and helpful service made a great evening perfect.

Best food I've ever had in my life! and I don't even know anyone connected to this place. Every course was a heavenly experience. Scallops absolutely evaporated in my mouth. Even the simple vanilla bean panna cotta was so good it ruined any dessert I will have in the future. Service was caring, polite, and knowledgable. Well worth the prices. Do yourself a favor and go to this place.
