About 10Best's Minneapolis Restaurants Selections:
One of the first things you'll discover about the Minneapolis restaurant scene is that local chefs and restaurateurs place a lot of stock in the virtues of organic and locally-produced ingredients, from orchard-fresh produce to homegrown livestock. In fact, you might even say that, much like the BYOB is a defining component of Philadelphia's restaurant landscape, the farm-to-table concept is a primary contributor to the quality of Minneapolis' dining culture. Indeed, there are hundreds of certified organic farmers within an hour or so of town, and it's not uncommon to find your favorite chef snooping around Mill City Farmers Market, East Lyndale Avenue Market, or Nicollet Mall Market, on the prowl for the best the season has to offer. Though organic cookery and creative recipes are standards at places like Mission American Kitchen and JP American Bistro, other area restaurants like Solera (Spanish tapas), Fugaise (French), and Manny's (steaks) promise their own, distinctive experiences and are certainly worthy of the accolades and attention they've received.

Quaint, inviting ambiance and delicious scratch food make Amore Victoria the place to be, and my favorite uptown restaurant. They have a gorgeous, cozy wine cellar where I attended a friend's rehearsal dinner. Unbelievably reasonable prices for the quality and generous portions. Also great is their Sat/Sun brunch. It's a steal. Service is fun and not too stuffy.

Best scratch Italian in the area. Amore Victoria is one of the unique gems of Uptown Minneapolis. A boutique style restaurant hand-crafted by the owners themselves, this Italian bistro captures old world Italian charm, characterized by ancient pillars, intricate woodwork, cozy booths, and excellent cuisine. The kitchen serves up traditional, as well as contemporary Italian specialties all made from scratch. Amore Victoria has a full bar, as well as an international wine list with over 100 selections. While you're there, check out the wine cellar, which is available for private dining as well. If you patronize Amore Victoria, expect to meet owners Alex and Jenna Victoria, who believe that regular clientele, upscale service, and scratch food will bring customers back and back.

This is a new restaurant in downtown Minneapolis that combines art with a hot bar scene joined by first class Japanese fusion and followed up with an elegant hotel. Enjoy a cocktail on the main floor as you peruse the fascinating art galleries. Then stroll downstairs to eat at the restaurant. Excellent service and great appetizers at very reasonable prices make this a great place to eat. Beautiful waitresses and beautiful people make this a must see in a booming downtown area.

The Tiniest Kitchen on the Planet but always seems to deliver cute little twists on its short but sweet menu. Old timey but suprisingly clean and romantic in a way. Food priced well for what it is and quality quite consistent.

So many delicious mouthfuls, some of the best tasting items are the cheaper ones. Wonderful ambiance and interior design. The tasting menu is the best deal, since you'll end up ordering that many dishes even if you don't think you will. Knowledgable, polite, and prompt service.

Warm towels were the best I've ever had! Menu extensive and intriguing. Sushi was tight and well done, recommend catapillar roll. Rice in sushi was oddly warm though. Ambiance was hip, fun, and well done. Service did forget about us for a while right when I wanted the check but all in all was relatively attentive. The tempura ice cream with quince paste is a delight. Would definitely try again.

Good diner food in a nice, clean building. Classic menu that is delivered with consistent quality in my many visits here. I have to say though my eggs benedict were a bit disappointing last time, muffins were overcooked and hollandaise was bland, so stay away from that maybe. Happy service.

This Cuban restaurant has been around for 9 years and is well known for it's breakfast. What seems to be a better kept secret is that they started serving dinner about 4 years ago and their dinner menu is really great. The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is like no place you've ever seen - super Cuban, casual, festive and a beautiful patio area.
