ST. ANTHONY. Located on the east bank of the Mississippi, the the Northeast has much to recommend it, whether you're looking for insight into the city's fascinating, flour-filled history or a cool place to hang out and sample contemporary Latino cookery at Picosa. Here, the old stone and brick structures, many bearing signage of tenants that occupied them more than 100 years ago, house dozens of neat little restaurants, bars, shops, and sights. In addition to all that, the Riverfront area, particularly Historic Main Street, hosts some of the city's most popular annual events, including June's Stone Arch Festival and Oktoberfest in the fall.
