4. Mobile Greyhound Park

WEST MOBILE.   Enjoy a day watching the dogs run at Mobile's Greyhound Park, where thoroughbred silver bullets have been racing and thrilling packed grandstands since the early 1970s. One of the area's largest attractions, the Park brings in thousands of tourists each week. A bit of trivia: The lure the dogs chase is named "Casey" in honor of Maurice "Casey" Downing, who was pivotal in bringing greyhound racing to Mobile.   (© 10Best)
