8. Three Georges Southern Chocolates

DOWNTOWN.   One of the oldest sweet shops in Mobile, this candy company was founded in 1917 by – you guessed it – the Three Georges (Goudopolos, Sparr, and Pappas) and quickly earned fame for its sinful heavenly hash. Today, despite the implementation of modern equipment, the shop's commitment to divine sweets remains, and those stopping in will find a variety of temptations awaiting – pralines, pecan brittle, rum cake, cheese straws, malted milk balls, and chocolate-covered peanuts.   (© 10Best)
