4. Felix's Fish Camp Grill - Mobile

On August 10th 2009, we were on our way to Gulf Shores and in the past years as we were traveling we stopped and had lunch with you. The service could not have been better. The first thing my husband started on was the crackers. He could have made his meal on the crackers, but he did order Oysters and Shrimp and they were excellent also. It was my daughters birthday and her brother and her 5 year old told the waitress that it was her birthday and they brought her pie with a candle in it. We are glad to let other people know what a good place to stop and have lunch or dinner when they are anywhere close to Mobile. Thank You for your service. We are from Tupelo, Ms and if you can will you let me know what the Brand of crackers you serve so I can see if we have them in Tupelo.

My favorite place to dine, even though I have to come from Pensacola, Fl. I absolutely love the crab and shrimp au gratin! The service is great, as are the the drinks and food...and desserts!!! Yummm!!! We like to sit in what we call the "light house room" - on the 3rd floor - quite and private - which is great since my family is less than quite! Go! You will not regret it! Paula Williams

I took my daughter & her boy friend to lunch in nov after visiting the u.s.s. alabama. It was our 1st visit. They were here from Ct. It is a great resturant and the scene over Mobile Bay was breath taking. The staff was excellant and so was the food. I had a po boy shrimp,Irateit the best all!

Quite crowded and noisy in the evenings. Unable to have a conversation. Also had several problems with reservations. So I now go early before the evening crowd. So I have rated according to my experience for lunch.

Nice Restaurant Experience. Hope it sustained Ivan. Will be back if it’s Ok. My wife, who is not a seafood person, liked their grilled grouper. Waiter (wish I could remember his name) was outstanding. Did not have to deal with Management so cannot comment on that. We came in around middle of the afternoon and the seating was not a problem. No wait.

We had a great time at Felix's, from a no-wait seating to "the best salad I've ever had!" They also have a very cool beach bar beneath the dining room on the bay!

I was one of a group of nine who went to Felix's without a reservation. We expected to wait to be seated, and we did. We waited for over an hour, which was fine, until we were finally seated. After waiting over an hour, the best they could offer us was a round table butted against a square table, obviously not great seating arrangements, especially when there was another square table available at the moment we were seated. We were surprised that the two square tables weren't used together to accommodate our group. Our hostess seemed unable to comprehend our dilemma, so I asked for management. [When they] came to our table and rudely informed us that this was the best they could do unless we'd like to wait about 40 minutes. Since we'd already waited over an hour, we really didn't have another 40 minutes to spare; so we "sucked it up" and ordered. Our waiter, salvaged the trip with great service and good humor. Five stars for our waiter and the food; NO stars for Felix Fish Camp management!!!
