9. Parc national du Mont-Tremblant

LAC-SUPÉRIEUR.   One of the gems of the Laurentian Mountains, this immense park consists of pristine wooded areas, tranquil valleys, glorious waterfalls and fishing streams that are second to none. Must-dos during any visit to the park include stops at Chute du Diable and Chute aux Rats, beautiful Lac Monroe (hiking, swimming and camping available) and the 3000-plus foot "Trembling Mountain" itself, whose name and history are rooted in Algonquin myth.
