We really enjoyed our experience at La Grappe a Vin (recently re-named Avalanche Restaurant). The service was charming, the food was excellent, and a very nice wine selection. We went in peak season so the house was full, and we were expecting slow service...etc, however they pulled it all together beautifully. Bison steak was spectacular!

I am not sure what the rest of the reviews are talking about??? They must have gone on off night or something. The food and service at LA GRAPPE A VIN is simply incredible. I visit Tremblant over 20 times a year and La Grappe is always on the top of my list. The young new chef (I can't recall her name) is very creative and offers fantastic and original recipes. I would say if you have not visited recently please give it a try you will not regret!

Food was disappointing. Granted it was hard to top…(the) night…before, but the goose we ordered did not come with the specified ingredients/sauces/sides and the waitress did not clarify it. The goose when it came was nothing special, and had little flavor it needed extra salt to season. Someone else at the table ordered the rabbit, which was better, but nothing spectacular, and he ordered a foie gras appetizer to go with it. The waitress fails to mention his soup, which came with the meal, and did not make it up in anyway. The cake d'erable (maple cake), was just a marble cake with maple syrup icing. Decent but didn't bowl me over. Everything was beautifully presented but did not meet up to expectations.

The owners, Silvie and Claude, were very entertaining and their food was delicious and well presented. The wine and scotch selection was better than expected in a small restaurant. The desserts were fantastic. La Grappe a Vin is my favorite restaurant in the resort village.

Food is pretentious, served cold, in tiny ridiculous portions.
