2. Le Restaurant Fuji

Monaco's first sushi restaurant is reassuringly frequented by the Japanese themselves. No über-trendy design here – just loud, smoky, crowded and authentic. In winter, it's based in the Métropole shopping mall. Choose from private tables or eat at the bar in the back, where you can watch the stellar chefs in action. In summer (mid-May to Sep) it takes up residence above the ever-fashionable Jimmy'z nightclub, welcoming the sun-seeking jet set. Staff are flown in direct from Japan at the start of the season.
