MONTEVIDEO.   For engine-revving, high-octane spectator sport, head to the county fairgrounds for a bit of Minnesota-style stock car racing. The track is a semi-banked dirt oval, 4/10 of a mile long, and it's the site of plenty of energetic activity from drivers and eager cheering from fans. Among the classes of racing you'll find are Street Stock, Super Stock, Modified and Late Model. Races typically run from mid-May to mid-September, and Friday events begin at 7:30pm (gates open at 5pm).
