This casual restaurant serves up the traditional national food – grilled meats, seafood and vegetables – as well as a selection of fresh seafood and steaks. The kitchen is consistent and well-schooled, keeping diners returning for more. Las Brasas's claim to fame is that United States politician and one-time First Lady Hilary Clinton dined here during one of her stays in Montevideo. LAS BRASAS JUST A REGULAR BARBECUE PLACE. UGLY ROOM. NOT WORTH IT. THE ONLY REASON FOR WHICH HILARY CLINTON WAS TAKEN TO DINE AT THIS RESTAURANT WAS BECAUSE OF SAFETY REASONS. IT WAS THE CLOSEST RESTAURANT TO THE HOTEL WHERE SHE WAS AT AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE..
