One Disappointed Slot Player
On October 11th, 2009 a gambling and working associate of mine Ali Kamal and I visited The Casino De Montreal. We have been going for about 10 years and average 1-2 trips a month plus he goes weekly while picking up Pita Bread for distribution in the U.S. On this particular evening the house was winning which is nothing out of the usual. Our fortunes began taking a turn for the better. We won 600.00 in the High Roller Room on the 5.00 Top Dollar Machine. We then went on the 1.00 Top Dollar Machine and hit for 1000.00. Continuing on our roll Ali wnet on the 1.00 Wheel of Fortune Machine and I went on the 1.00 Pinball Machine. Ali yelled out to me and I looked and his white light was on and everyong in the immediate area was congratulating him. I cashed out and walked over to see what happened. He hit the 5x Red 7 5x pay which equated to 3000.00. We anxoiusly awaited the arrival of the attendant as more people came over to congratulate us. The attendant arrived and in a typical manner opened up the machine, reset it and went to leave. To our objection she told us the machine malfunctioned and there would be no payoff. Her supervisor, Monique I believe came over and uttered the same jargon about a code 2. These mind dead robots spoke of this code 2 like it is a universal symbol in a Casino for you are not getting paid. Nowhere are any of these codes posted as of that night to confirm what she was telling us. There was absolutely no credibilty to her story which makes it all bogus. We left out of fear that we would get arrested because I was about to really lose my temper. Since then we after writng a letter of protest to Daniel Bissonnette, the Casino Manager Wanabee who apparently hides under his desk and lets a joke claled Mark the Slot Manager do his dirty deeds. Mark listened to our side of the story but he probably was doing something else while we were talking. He reiterated that the machine malfuntioned. He said he was going to talk to his techniques whatever that meant as they conveniently can't speak english when there is a proble. He called back once and Ali was not hear so he said he would call back on Monday morning October 26th 2009. Needless to say he did not and we finally called him, left a message and he finally called us back. At this point he was still talking jargon abotu a code 2 malfunction which still means absolutely nothing to me. We havew since attempted to speak with the Casino Manager but he obvioiusly treats his customers like dirt beneath his finger nails. I have worked in the industry at small venus for 19 years. I know many people in the Gaming Industry as do the friens I know. I have since spoken to 2 Slot Managers at other establishments, and while they assured me malfuctions can occur, they said in all the years of doing this they never saw it occur on a payoff of that proportion. If they did they said to preserve the integrity of the game they would have paid. They would have explained it to be a malfunction but would have paid. Not because they had to but because they wanted their game to be legitimate. Casino de Montreal is a bogus operation where players have no rights or anywhere to appeal. The Casino Manager is a spineless human being. He stepped on our rights a s a player and detroyed the integrity of their machines. I would strongly advise anyone thinkingof going to this venue to think twice. There are lots of other more player friendly venues. Tom Young Saint Albans, Vt
