EDITOR REVIEW: This cathedral stands in the heart of the city's Anglo-Protestant district and is a one-fourth-scale replica of Saint Peter's in Rome. The structure was built in 1894 and designed to deliberately intensify the effect of burning candles. The high altar features a replica of Bernini's vast baldachin in Saint Peter's. The first chapel in the left aisle is a red-flocked sanctuary filled with medals and saintly relics.
