9. Montréal Dragon Boat Festival

The Buzz -- Long, highly decorated boats with up to 25 crew members paddle down the azure channel of the St. Lawrence River, competing for prizes and just for fun. The annual Dragon Boat Festival draws a big crowd to the banks of the river to cheer for their favorite boat and to enjoy the multi-faceted cultural experience with food, live entertainment from musicians and dancers, and even a children's drawing contest. Located in the Jean-Drapeau Park, this is a great opportunity to take in the colorful sights, not only at the festival, but throughout the Park.
