4. Chez Schwartz Charcuterie

Set in a small, unassuming space, this traditional-style deli offers fantastic sandwiches, including some of the best smoked meat extravaganzas in the city. It's not unknown for patrons to stand in line for a heaping sandwich, but the reward is well worth it. The karnatzel (firm, thin sausage) is also great, especially when accompanied with french fries, and the rye bread has quite a reputation as well.   (© 10Best)
