Jaan is an upmarket French restaurant, but it's also the top spot to linger on an evening. Opened in 2002, the restaurant has views that should be Michelin-starred. On the Fairmont hotel upper level, it boasts stunning views of the Alps, the lake and the hotel's broad gardens. The food and an exhaustive wine list are wonderful, of course, but plan on long after-dinner coffee. Closed the first three weeks of January and August.
