12. Le Palais Oriental

The décor is Moorish and the cuisine is more-ish in this sumptuous restaurant. Arabic delights such as chicken couscous and lamb-and-prune tagine are served, and you can even buy top-quality Iranian caviar to take home. The exquisite décor comes courtesy of Moroccan craftsmen; why have plain glass windows when you can have stained-glass windows, and why have an arch when you can have a Mozarabic horseshoe?
