This easternmost building on the bustling Marienplatz is the old town hall and center of political life early in the regions history. Renovations to the building have focused on retaining the 15th century style and artistry of the original structure. Visitors should make an effort to tour the structure while on a walk around the Marienplatz.

This marvelous building faces the Odeonsplatz and resonates with Italian style and architectural flourishes. The hall commemorates several 18th century generals and was later used by Hitler as a meeting point. The building is unique and forms the focal point of the Odeonsplatz.

This lovely garden west of the city center features 67 acres of green space, which was built in the 19th century as a royal deer park. The gardens house one of the largest beer gardens in the world with a capacity for 8000 people. This is a popular spot for locals to picnic and enjoy nature walks.
