Sitar is one of the best Indian restaurants in a city that knows and loves the genre. Standouts include beef bhunna (tomatoes and fried onions); almond-saffron lamb; and marinated chicken in spinach, mint and coriander sauce. More than a dozen dishes cater to vegetarians, including baingan ka bharta: a spicy mash of eggplant, tomato and onion. Wash it all down with a mango lassi or Indian beer.
