7. Intracoastal Christmas Regatta

The Buzz -- Every year, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Intracoastal Waterway becomes a spectacle of twinkling lights and holiday cheer. Decorated boats of all shapes and sizes parade from Tilghman Point to Dock Holidays Marina, piloted by spirited folks from all walks of life. Unless you're lucky enough to get invited to a party at a private home along the waterway, the best spots for watching the activity are the various marinas along the way. It's free to watch, but spectators are asked to donate a new unwrapped toy (or cash) – drop off points are located all along the parade route.
