The Buzz -- The Class A Advanced minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, the Pelicans of Myrtle Beach offer baseball fans a great opportunity to catch tomorrow's stars before they become household names. Around since 1999, the Pelicans wasted little time establishing a winning tradition on the Strand, taking home the Mills Cup their first two seasons. Among the former Myrtle Beach players who've gone on to make names for themselves in The Show are Jason Marquis, Marcus Giles and Rafael Furcal. |
