8. Annual July 4th Fireworks Display

The Buzz -- Sure, you can expect to see plenty of fireworks shot off (both legally and illegally) along the Grand Strand shore on the 4th of July, but only at Cherry Grove Pier will you see Myrtle Beach's official recognition of the nation's birthday. This stunning, two-hour display is one of the biggest you'll encounter while at the beach, and it's certainly worth making plans to catch it.
