4. Dixie Chicken Fishing Funament

The Buzz -- The early bird stands a good chance of getting not only the worm but also the the prize money at this multi-species fishing tournament, which runs out of Harbourgate Marina. The event is held in honor of Jim Caudle, a local whose love of fishing was infectious. Organizers borrowed from Caudle's boat, The Dixie Chicken, to name the tournament. Proceeds from the festivities benefit the Jim Caudle Artificial Reef Foundation for restoring natural fish habitats to the Little River.
