About Myrtle Beach Nightlife

Myrtle Beach Nightlife, Nightlife in Myrtle Beach

Years ago, the mere mentioning of the Myrtle Beach nightlife scene ushered forth images of the dearly departed Pavilion, walking the sidewalks of Ocean Boulevard and maybe catching a band at some bar and grill. My, how times have changed. Today, places like the House of Blues and Alabama Theatre make sure that crowds always have topnotch musical talent to catch every week. For more interactive diversion, the area's top dance clubs – Revolutions, Club Boca, Club Kryptonite and 2001 – give 20- and 30-something lookers hip places where they can crowd the hardwood and dance far into the night. There are a few good places to grab a pint if pubs are more your scene, and most restaurants worth their salt have raw bars equipped with TVs and friendly faces waiting to ask, "Can I get y'all anything else?" Of course, while you're here you might as well learn how to shag, and there's no better place to do that than at Fat Harold's Beach Club in North Myrtle, where you and your partner can sway to ocean breezes while the DJs play bands with names like the Catalinas, Drifters and Swinging Medallions. -- Kelly Sigmon, Senior Editor
