4. Huntington Beach State Park

Love it!
A must see! A great place to ride bikes on the boardwalks and see alligators up close and lots of them, picnic and relax. See the Atalaya for $1.00 on a self tour and also the Educational center. The shore was not busy at all and the ocean is so pristine and beautiful. Nice camping sites and some were very shady. We drove down from Myrtle Beach just to spend the day away from our resort. About a 1/2 drive. Should have done this every time.

A historical fort/home that just begs for you to explore. And in late March is when the crabs start to emerge from the marsh. A great wildlife refuge for all sorts of animals. Just watch driving down the road, alligators walk where they want (personal experience on my honeymoon!), they can back traffic up.
