6. Divine Fish House

MURRELLS INLET.   Not at all your run-of-the-mill seafood joint, the Divine Fish House has garnered high praise from a veritable who's who of regional and national publications. The food, as you might expect, is large reason for the place's popular appeal, and the offerings range from superbly-prepared beef and seafood courses to more exotic numbers like sushi. The place's atmosphere also receives high marks. Contemporary and even a tad artsy, Divine bucks the notion that a Murrells Inlet restaurant has to be decorated with nets and taxidermy. If it's nice out, ask for a table on their deck – the view is terrific. For lunch, try Divine's on-site bar, Wahoo's.   (© 10Best)

I agree this restaurant had good food and a more elegant atmosphere than most of the restaurants in the area, but I found it to be too stuffy and way too expensive for the quality. I have to admit, my husband is an excellent cook and prepares wonderfully cooked meals for us so it takes a lot to overly impress me by the food. We picked this restaurant for our anniversary but I have no desire to return. Sorry for the negative review, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.
